French Brittany Spaniels from Pheasant Country

Plum Creek Kennels
BREEDING GUN DOGS FOR THE FOOT HUNTER!

Hunting is a way of life for a Plum Creek French Brittany. We own and operate a wild pheasant hunting lodge in South Dakota,  Big Spur Lodge www.bigspur.com so the bar of expectation for the performance of all of our Brittanys in the field is necessarily quite high.   We researched and selected only the best to build our foundation blood lines.  And because we are serious, committed French brittany breeders, we have imported  the best French brittany blood lines in Europe to our kennels. We breed selectively and ONLY with hip certified French brittany parents. Please enter the site to explore all the info inside and here's wishing you many staunch points! Bill and Kathy

ORVIS Endorsed Breeder & Trainer

COSTS AND SHIPPING

ORVIS Endorsed French Brittany Breeding Program

Buyers who wish to secure a French brittany pup may do so by making a reservation and paying a deposit. Buyers may specify a gender or color preference at the time of their reservation. We accept $200.00 as a minimum deposit towards the purchase of your French brittany pup. This deposit is deducted from the total purchase price when the transaction is completed. Deposits are accepted in chronological order and a receipt will be mailed to you. The depositor may roll his reservation over to another time, within reason and as agreed upon by the breeder.
Since we plan breedings around your reservations, deposits are non-refundable should you decide to cancel the purchase plan.

We provide all up to date shots and wormings, dewclaws are removed and tails docked if necessary. Each pup will have it's permanent identification in the form of an Avid Microchip implant. In addition we also cover the cost of the health certificate required for the shipping of pups.

We encourage buyers to come to our kennel to receive the pup they have purchased. However, we know that is not possible for everyone and so we can and often do ship by air. Shipping and all related costs are the responsibility of the buyer. When we ship the pup to you by air, the freight charges will be C.O.D. at the airport.  Since this is based upon weight, it can vary a few dollars either up or down, but is usually around $150.00. There will be a $30.00 cost for the crate to ship the pup in. It's a crate that you will be able to retain and utilize for crate training, housebreaking and transportation for quite some time before the pup outgrows it.  Since the airport we must ship out of is over a four hour drive for us, there is a $100.00 transportation fee to take the pup to the airport for you. When shipping by air the arrangements are all made on our end - all you have to do is be there for the pickup!

We have had great success with the airlines, they have taken good care of the pups we have shipped. They arrange the trip so that the pup gets to you in the quickest time possible and in our experience have been very conscientious in their care of our youngsters.

Our Guarantee Policy: We guarantee the pups we produce through our breeding program in regards to any major hereditary genetic disease for two years. We will take the dog back and replace it with a pup providing the problem is documented by your veterinary and confirmed by our veterinary as hereditary in nature. For the purpose of hip certification we require an OFA permanent certification or determination at the age of 24 months. All shipping or transportation is the responsibility of the owner. If your dog has been bred, any and all guarantees or remedies are voided. The guarantee applies to the original owner only.
