IN MEMORY OF A GOOD FRIEND THAT IS
DEARLY MISSED
 |

COMMENTS:
Gypsy was a wonderful example of a black
and white female. She was an excellent gundog, natural retriever and had
beautiful conformation and a wonderful personality.
Gyspy was featured on
the American Birdhunter outdoor television program "Pheasants and
French Brittanys". Her ancestry
includes the second most winning
brittany to date "Nat du Buisson de
Choisel", 3x international
champion Poker des Pigenettes, and the International champion Vidocq II.
We miss her very much. |
Ode
to Gypsy
by Bill Dillon
Friends
walking down switch grass path
The dew crystaled frost not long to last.
The turn to
fall has both our mind sets sure
The faint undergrowth movement sturs.
The
solidness of point the excitement of this moments time
I walk in to flush, skyward flight so sublime.
Shotgun’s
motion carries through, the targets been found
She stands there to mark the prey’s fall to grass covered ground.
With surety
I know as she returns bird to hand
This oneness we’ve enjoyed we both love and understand.
The years
have passed, our friendship understood
The love of autumn morning and our hunts in quiet wood.
The
memories will never leave of our many years past
I’ve been so lucky and grateful for our times remaining with me everlast.
So with
tears I say goodbye you were one of a kind
I will always see those loving eyes if just in my mind.
